We believe in the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, existing eternally as three distinct and equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Source and Sustainer of all existence, Jesus Christ the Son is the Savior and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit serves as Comforter and Empowerer to believers.

We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, His eternal nature—not created, and His miraculous birth through the virgin Mary. While on earth, He was fully God and fully Man, living a sinless life, and obedient to His Father’s will. Jesus, meaning 'God saves', is the perfect and only mediator between God and humanity. He was obedient to the point of death bearing our sins in His own body thereby reconciling us back to the Father. On the third day, He was resurrected bodily from the dead, triumphing over sin and death. He ascended into heaven to rule over all things at the right hand of the Father. He presently intercedes for believers, as our High Priest and Advocate. We anticipate His personal, visible, and glorious return when He will judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the absolute and essential deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, acknowledging His illuminating, convicting, regenerating, sanctifying, empowering, and comforting work, as well as His abiding presence in the believer. We believe in all the Gifts of the Spirit, which are bestowed by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of edifying the Church and advancing God's kingdom. Furthermore, we maintain that these Gifts should be expressed in an orderly manner.

We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God; that its sixty-six books, as originally written, were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God and are entirely free from error; that it presents us particularly with the Lord Jesus Christ; and, that it is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but has sinned and therefore inherits the penalty of sin, which is death—both physical and spiritual. We recognize the fallen nature of humanity due to sin, resulting in estrangement from God and the necessity for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God given by His grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, independent of human merit, to those who exercise repentance from sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, being born again by the Holy Spirit. This leads to reconciliation with God, eternal life, and adoption as children of God, predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ

We believe in the Church as the assembly of those redeemed by Jesus Christ and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Each local Church, a visible expression of the universal Church, consists of believers in a specific community gathering to hear the Word of God proclaimed and participate in Worship and in the ordinances of Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances – Baptism and The Lord’s Supper – to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith; that Believer’s baptism is an act of obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and a sign of personal repentance, faith and regeneration; it consists of the immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and is a public testimony to the faith of the candidate and a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection; that the Lord’s Supper is the partaking of bread and wine as symbolical of the Savior’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death until He returns.

We believe in the priesthood of all believers, by which we understand that each believer has direct access to God through Christ our High Priest, and shares with Him in His work of reconciliation. This involves intercession, worship, faithful service and bearing witness to Jesus Christ, even to the ends of the earth.

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to eternal life with God, and the lost to eternal separation from God.

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, intended to be a lifelong union reflecting the union between Christ and His Church. We believe that God has sanctioned marriage between a man and a woman; therefore, we affirm heterosexual relationships between a biological man and a biological woman within the confines of lawful matrimony.

We believe in the biblical creation order of two genders, male and female, as complementary and distinct expressions of humanity, reflecting the image of God.

We believe in the sanctity of human life, from conception to natural death, as ordained by God and deserving of protection and respect. Each individual is uniquely created by God in His image and possesses inherent worth and dignity.

We believe we are called to do what Jesus did in making disciples who make disciples, understanding that our primary motive for fulfilling this commission is obedience to the Great Commandment.

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Waypoint Christian Church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to our members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by Waypoint Christian Church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to, and abide by our Statement of Faith.
